I’LL BE THERE TO GET OUT THE VOTE FOR PHIL MURPHY FOR GOVERNOR!
On Tuesday, November 7, we have an opportunity to ensure our next Governor will tun New Jersey around by standing up for working people, good jobs, and strong public services. With Election Day only days away, it is critically important for CWA Local 1037 members to help Get-Out-the-Vote for CWA’s union-endorsed candidate for New Jersey governor, Phil Murphy.
We will be doing Get-Out-the-Vote labor walks this Saturday, November 4th, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, and on Election Day Tuesday, November 7th from 10:00 to 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Click here to volunteer and find a labor walk location near you.
Local 1037 will provide a $40 stipend for members and guests (over 18 years old) per walk shift.
After eight disastrous years of Governor Chris Christie and an enormous amount of damage to the state, CWA members are supporting Phil Murphy because he will protect working families and defend strong public services.
Phil Murphy has pledged to:
- Protect strong services and good jobs. He’ll reverse Chris Christie’s tax breaks for the wealthy and corporations to fund strong services and infrastructure. And He will fight to stop corporate tax breaks for companies shipping CWA jobs overseas.
- Strengthen our pensions. He’ll support budgets that fully fund public worker retirement systems and stop hedge fund managers from profiting off our pensions.
- End the attacks on working families. Christie has blamed workers for all the problems in New Jersey. He’ll put a stop to that and work to get New Jersey back on track.
For eight long years, Chris Christie has attacked working people and unions. Now, it’s time to send candidates to Trenton who will protect our jobs and retirement security and make quality health care more affordable.
