Join together at an important town hall on affordable childcare — we need your voice there.
Childcare isn’t just a parent’s issue—it’s a community issue. When childcare is broken, local economies suffer, workers are forced to leave their jobs, and childcare providers—overwhelmingly women of color—are pushed into poverty.
That’s why CWA Local 1037 is proud to co-sponsor a community event to demand we do better for New Jersey families & workers.
Please RSVP now to secure your spot here.
Join us for a powerful town hall:
FIX CHILDCARE NOW: A Community Town Hall
📅 Date: Saturday, September 13
⏰ Time: 9:30 AM
📍 Location: The Waterfront at 2 Grafton Ave, Newark, NJ
This event brings together parents, childcare workers, community leaders, and union members to raise our collective voices to demand New Jersey elected officials and candidates running for governor to:
➤ Restore the $30 million in cruel childcare cuts.
➤ Expand access to make childcare affordable for all families.
➤ Pay childcare workers living wages with benefits.
➤ Fund it through tax justice asking the ultra-wealthy and big corporations to pay their fair share
We are building a movement too big to ignore. Let’s show our elected officials that our communities are united and we demand a childcare system that works for everyone.
