On Thursday, June 18, thousands of CWA members held a mass union lunchtime rally at the State House in Trenton. Over 250 members of Local 1037 took buses organized by the Local or drove themselves to make their voices heard and demand that the State Legislature pass legislation to contain healthcare costs and make our healthcare more affordable.

After making signs at the Trenton Historic Masonic Temple, CWA-NJ marched as a Union to the state house annex.

From every hallway in the statehouse annex, even with the windows closed, our chants were heard, and we will keep fighting until real solutions are put in place to address the healthcare affordability crisis.

Almost a dozen other unions representing public workers rallied at the state house and stood in solidarity with CWA members, including NJEA, HPAE, SEIU32BJ, Rutgers AAUP-AFT, AFL-CIO, New Jersey Citizen Action, and more.
