APRIL 24 – Picket for a First Contract at UVSO

APRIL 24 – PICKET WITH CWA 1037 MEMBERS AT
UNIFIED VAILSBURG SERVICE ORGANIZATION

In February of 2016, child care workers, service workers and early childhood education teachers at Unified Vailsburg Services Organization (UVSO) in Newark voted overwhelmingly to join CWA 1037.

For the past year these workers have been in negotiations with UVSO management for a first contract. Now management is claiming they have NO MONEY and no control over the pay of their employees – denying them the economic security of knowing what their wages will be from year to year.

THE TIME TO TAKE ACTION IS NOW!

On Monday, April 24, stand up with the workers from the Unified Vailsburg Services Organization (UVSO) as they Picket for a First Contract to send a strong message to management to bargain a fair contract that includes fair wages, job security, and respect and dignity for everyone. The picket will begin at 6:00 pm at the Ivy Hill Preschool at 475 Irvington Ave in South Orange.

Let’s join our CWA Local 1037 sisters and brothers at UVSO in their fight for a first contract and justice on the job, and say in one voice that these dedicated workers deserve a fair and just first contract.

Be sure to wear your CWA Red.
