Take Action: Stop Health Care Rate Increases For NJ State Workers

Health care premiums for New Jersey State Workers are about to see a significant increase in January. CWA 1037 Shop Steward and DCF Family Service Specialist, Davren Noble, spoke to News 12 about the burden this would be for workers. “It’s going to hurt a lot. And the benefits are things that we need,” he said. “All we want is for people we voted for to protect our interests.”

CWA is taking action now by calling Governor Phil Murphy and asking him to stop the health care increase.

TAKE ACTION TO STOP THE STATE FROM INCREASING YOUR HEALTH CARE CONTRIBUTIONS

Call on your break or at lunch — not after hours — because there’s no voicemail option. You’ll be connected with the Governor’s Office.

Tell them:

My name is_________ and I work in (Dept.). I am calling to ask the Governor to stop any increase to my health care contributions. Thank you.

(If you don’t get through initially, keep calling back until someone answers!)
