High Point to Trenton Hike!
Just wanted to let everyone know that as of right now, it seems as though the Governor has backed down on closing the parks. So congratulations, this is great news!
Of course, for me, and I’m sure, for all of you, it comes with some sad news- namely, the High Point to Trenton Hike that was planned for next week is now canceled.
We will be doing mobilizations at the park, because the money he has restored will not be enough to restore all services. When we know more about what is going to be cut, we will let you know and we will be planning mobilizations accordingly.
I want to thank all of you for your support and desire to go on this hike and help save the parks. Even though we won’t be hiking, please keep checking the blog for more mobilizations that will be in the works.
A “Save Our Parks” hike from High Point to Trenton with campouts at parks slated for closure along the way is being planned for the last full week of May. If you or someone you know is interested in taking part in it, please email tech@cwa1037.org.
