Vote YES for the CWA Strategic Media and Public Education Fund
That’s the average cost to our members for a CWA Strategic Media and Public Education fund.
Public workers are in for the fight of our lives -- and union members need the tools to fight back. Christie and the politicians want to gut our Civil Service rights. At the State Colleges and Local Gov’t they want to do away with Civil Service all together! We have to tell people how much corruption there will be without Civil Service.
When we try to tell our side of the story to the media, talk-radio hosts and know-nothing politicians capture the news and put out false and misleading information. They portray public workers in a negative light – greedy or lazy or incompetent. We have to counter those negative messages with the facts!
The public is completely confused about the size of our pensions and who pays for them. The media tells stories about some political hack getting a high paid job at the end of his/her career and they act as if it’s regular workers like us.
CWA hasn’t had a single dues increase in 30 years. Every dime of this money will stay in New Jersey and will fight for our jobs, our job security, our civil service rights, our pension, our benefits.
We have never had a fight like this before. We must have the resources to fight back. Please support the Strategic Media Fund.
We need the Strategic Media and Education Fund so that we can fight back. We will use that money to speak truth to power about our pensions, privatization, and to tell the real story of what is happening to state colleges, DEP, BPU, DOT, MVS, Corrections, DCF, DCA, Human Services, and all of the jobs and services that are under attack.
